Butterfly Pink - Grey Peep Toe Flats

I buy shoes to keep myself happy, but I do have to pay the rent and eat; so, I look for deals online.
Moreover, thanks to e-commerce website, I don't have to move out of the house to look at shoes and I just have to go to work in order to get them. Anyway, I have made a lot of blunders in shoe-shopping even though I do a lot of research before buying any new brand online. To make the matter worse, more and more brands keep coming up with no standard sizing. I ended up buying some flats which were supposed to be size 41 but, they were size 38, at best.

Craftsvilla.com - A Review and What I Bought

There are various kinds of addictions and shopping, just happens to be one of them (barely, if you ask me!). I have a very specialized kind of addiction; I like to shop online.  Yes, it is fun to go from shop to shop and check things out needlessly but it is soooooo very frustrating when you don't find the things you're looking for  or worse, when you do find the things you are looking for but not in your size!

Craftsvilla is just a site which has variety of goods on offer and what's more? They ship internationally!

Online Shopping With MedPlusBeauty.Com

In  India, we have moved on from having no option to shop online to *a lot* of shopping sites offering brands that we have been hunting for....ever!  Initially, I was trying to keep up with such sites but I no longer have the stamina( or money, for that matter:P) to shop *so much*.Yes, there, I have said that even I am ( of all people!) a bit tired of shopping.

However, I had to shop from MedPlusBeauty.com because of the discounts and the huge variety they've.They have brands ranging from budget-friendly to the ones which are not at all budget-friendly!

Online Shopping with BeStylish - Review ,Wedges & More

I think almost all of you know I have a shoe hoarder syndrome. I buy and buy and buy.Sadly, (or should I say luckily for my pocket?) my shoe size prevents me from buying all the beauties that I see. It's kind of hard to buy pretty shoes when the SA tell you to check out the Men's section just for a pair of flip flops?Although, I don't mind it as much now, in fact, I have started asking questions like, "What's the last shoe size in this brand?", "Which is the last size  you stock?", etc. Let me tell you one thing, feet too big or feet too small, there are always pretty and/or sexy shoes out there waiting to be found. So, don't you ever let those SA make you feel bad about your shoe size because they're only trying to cover up the fact that their shop doesn't have it.

Now, coming back to Bestylish.com even browsing the site makes me happy. I have spent a lot of time drooling over a lot of shoes but couldn't  get myself to buy anything.Few days ago I saw a yellow coloured shoe which made my heart melt and the price made me even happier. I went ahead and bought it.

Online Shopping With Goodlife.Com/ FirstCry.Com - Review & What I Bought

I have not been posting much because my laptop has suddenly decided that it has had enough of me and has refused to undergo any more torture. On top of that I suddenly decided that I needed to upgrade everything possible, talk about madness huh?!But it is my duty to tell show you what I bought(I think you people have more idea about how much I spend than *all * my family put together!)

Now, Goodlife.com and FirstCry.com are two sister sites having the same checkout, which basically means buy your kids some toys and buy yourself some makeup and tell your husband only about the toys;) I'm just saying.......Seriously, this Firstcry is the first online store catering to the needs of would-be Moms, maternity clothing and kids.
Btw, they are based in Pune, Maharashtra( Zee and Parul are you people listening?).

Online Shopping with Healthkart- Review and Haul

I think I am *the* last person to review healthkart.com. The only reason it  took me so much time to shop from there was because of the limited number of payment options. So, I'll keep the review very much to the point!

They Offer:A lot of variety product-wise be it beauty or health related. Also, they have some of the best discounts among the various shopping sites.

Online Shopping With BuyInCoins.com- Review & Haul

This is technically Christmas time, so, I will be doing haul or online shopping posts for some time(They were overdue anyway!) Now, I was not sure about buyincoins.com because it will involve international shipping but when I went to check the prices, I was blown-over! Dirt- cheap doesn't begin to cover it and to makes the matters worse(for my credit card, of course) there was free shipping to India. I am pretty sure god wouldn't have been happy with me if he came to know that I hadn't shopped from here *specially* after the prices.

I have only removed my address from the package.

Online Shopping Experience with Urbantouch

This post is long overdue!I don't know what kept me from writing this, maybe some form of amnesia?! I have shopped from Urbantouch many times and I love them. The first time I ordered from them, my order was shipped to Coimbatore and I was like 'wth?!'. SO, I wrote them a mail about it and I got a reply within 2hours. My package was being redirected to my place instead of Coimbatore. Though, I still dunno why they shipped the package to Coimbatore but I received my order intact, so, I let it go. The next time I ordered, the package *was* shipped to my place. I have ordered from Urbantouch quite a lot of times and I absolutely love the black box and they pack the products really neatly. In fact, they had packed it so nicely that when the man who delivered it dropped it, I went 'Ohh my gawddd' but when I opened the box, everything was intact!!

Pros:
  • The real quick response by customer care.
  • Variety of brands on offer.
  • The current offer  of free gift.
  • Packaging. Lots of bubble wrap and thermocol and the really strong and good looking black box!
  • COD service covers loads of areas.
  • On orders above 500 INR, they send you free samples.
  • Free shipping regardless of the size of order!
Cons:
  •   I have received a Fairness face wash for Men 'sample' with every order till date.I would prefer if they sent something based on the customers profile.

Online Shopping Experience With Snap it today

I was searching for something *which had no relation to shopping* on Google when I saw snap it today on the results page. Google sure knows everything because I left whatever I was doing and went ahead to check out the duty. You know, it is my moral duty to shop and let you know how good the sites are. This site lets you shop with your co-workers. You can shop for make up, skin care, wallets, sunglasses, shoes, etc. Well, here is the home screen:

Click Here to see the names of brands they offer!

Free shipping on orders above 400 INR otherwise a shipping charge of Rs. 30 has to be paid.

My Experience with Snapittoday.com -

This is the first site that I have seen which is selling stuff from Oriflame. Anyway, I just ordered one face pack , Aroma Magic Pearl Gel which was sold out on every other site. I paid using net banking. You can log in using facebook, twitter and your personal or work email. You can also shop without logging in ( I did). Later on, I created an account and even thought I used the same email id, the order was not linked to my account. I wrote them a mail about it. There were 2-3 email ids mentioned and I could not decide which one should I use. Anyway, I got a reply on Monday that they had linked my order with my account and the order was shipped on Monday. So, if you're ordering on Friday, be prepared to wait. I got my order in 4 days and it was wrapped in cardboard sheets. These sheets were wrapped in lots of cello tape and  There was a sample of Fairness Face wash for men. I wish the shopping sites will send me samples that I could use. They are based in Banglore.

Update:They have changed their packaging. They were relatively new when I ordered.

Payment Options: Credit card, Debit card, Net banking and COD( available in limited areas).

Pros:
  • They are new but they do offer quite a variety( taking into consideration that they are new.)
  • I got stuff which was sold out on other sites.Yay!
Cons:
  •   They should improve the packaging of the products
  • Limited COD but to be fair they are still new.
  • They don't pay the Octroi and other such taxes, so you might just end up paying more than the MRP of everything put together!
  • Some of the things which are shown as available on the site are in fact, sold out.

Online Shopping Experience with L’Occitane en Provence

L’Occitane is a brand based in France  has stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Banglore and Ludhiana but sadly not all of us live in "cities"  but thankfully they do have an online store.
They are offering free delivery up to 31st of Oct’2011  to celebrate e-commerce otherwise you have to pay the delivery charges based on the quantity that needs to be shipped.

Another offer which is on is the Fragrant Duo offer which will be valid till the stock lasts!

The pretty stamp on the package.

The site is easily navigable and you can view products on the basis of ingredients or your concern or just the usual categories of bath, body, face, lips, makeup, etc. I was ordering for the first time, so I placed a small order so that I could find out from which place they ship the online orders and how much time does the whole process take. My order was shipped from Khan Market, Delhi. L’Occitane offers travel sizes but they are only in fragrances and not in other products. I was expecting them to have everything in travel sizes that way, people who don’t have a store nearby can still try things out without thinking about it too much. I can easily forgive them for this because they do send out samples but sometimes, using a product once or twice is not enough.

Payment Options: As of now, they only accept credit and debit cards. No net banking or COD.

Order Placement, Shipping and Packaging:
After you have selected the items, you have to select the shipping method. Currently there is only one method i.e. standard which takes 7-8 days. You can choose the gift wrap option as well where he details of payment and pricing will be hidden. I got a mail confirming my order with the invoice. My order was dispatched the next day and I was supplied with the courier details (Blue Dart, in my case). I got the package in 3 days.

The package came in a small box (small order=small box) and it carried my name and the sender’s address on both the sides. It was completely wrapped and no scope was left for the package to be damaged by water. Loads of cello-tape was wrapped around as well.It took me 15 minutes to open the package.
Everything was wrapped in bubble wrap and that was in turn wrapped in butter paper with a stamp of L’Occitane.

The prices are a little high because everything is manufactured in France and then it is imported to India.

Pros:
  • Natural ingredients.
  • Easily navigable site.
  • HDFC is even offering bonus reward points on shopping from this site using the HDFC credit card.
  • Gift wrapping available.
  • Free samples no matter where you buy i.e. at the store or online.

Cons:
  • The lack of travel size packages in all the categories.
  • No net banking and COD.
  • You have to pay for the shipping.
  • Expensive products.

Will I buy again from here?
Yes!!

Online Shopping with Flipkart.com

Flipkart is the first site that I shopped from online.I was never sure of ordering anything online but I needed some books urgently. You might be thinking...who needs books urgently? Apparently, I do. I have ordered quite a few times from them. There was only one time, as of now, when I needed to call their customer care and  complain. They had shipped the package but the current status on the courier's site was insufficient address, which is so stupid considering I had received another package from a previous order just the day before "on the same address". I will still say they were very nice about it and I got my package as well but it took 2 days to make sure the courier company did something about the missing package.

The books are shipped from different warehouses so the delivery time differs from place to place. I have received books from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Banglore.

Some of the books that I have bought!

The books come with small bookmarks which are very cute and they are wrapped packed in plastic before packing them in the card-boards(the one in pic above). If the product is delicate, it is wrapped in a lot of bubble wrap so that it reaches you safely. All the things that I have bought from them have reached me intact.
They have even started a gift wrapping service but they charge extra for it!:(

Everything is great about them except the two mentioned below.

Cons:
  • No loyalty programs or additional benefits for regular customers!
  • You've to pay for gift wrapping.
