Butterfly Pink - Grey Peep Toe Flats

I buy shoes to keep myself happy, but I do have to pay the rent and eat; so, I look for deals online.
Moreover, thanks to e-commerce website, I don't have to move out of the house to look at shoes and I just have to go to work in order to get them. Anyway, I have made a lot of blunders in shoe-shopping even though I do a lot of research before buying any new brand online. To make the matter worse, more and more brands keep coming up with no standard sizing. I ended up buying some flats which were supposed to be size 41 but, they were size 38, at best.

Review: Flipside Flip-Flop Combo

This time, I did really need a pair of slippers because the one I have from Puma has this suction-kind of a sole which makes a ridiculous noise while walking on tiles. I still don't understand why would they sell slippers such as mine for INR 499. Although, when I bought it, I figured it would have a better grip but, I slip more frequently compared to my normal rate.

New Suede Boots

I have been cutting down my shopping in general and shoe-shopping in particular. I have even started working on one shoe at a time so when I  eventually have to move, I know which shoe I can leave behind but the decision is still tough. Anyway, I don't exactly remember when I bought these but they were on discount and I don't have any pair which is quite like these.

Shoes Which Broke My Heart!

Few days ago, I wrote about my shopping experience with BeStylish (You can visit the site here) I bought a yellow pair from some brand named Alpha. I have never really heard of that brand but thanks to the retail chains and online stores, we do come across various brands we've never heard of!Anyway, these shoes were cute and came in such pretty colours. I found a yellow one which was available in size 8 (I usually wear size 7 or 7.5 but I thought its better to get one size up!). Hmm, the shoe didn't fit  and I had to return it but  only a few days ago when I realised, those people had sent me a size 38 shoe instead of a 41 i.e size 8. I knew the shoes were not my size but since no size was mentioned "inside" the shoes, I didn't pay much attention to them.

Anyway, those shoes were pretty and even though, I don't have them anymore and couldn't even wear them, I took some pictures for ogling.

New Realflex From Reebok And My Thoughts!

I am not really a sport shoe kind of a person but these days I have been walking A LOT so I had to finally take my Reebok shoes out. As  a result, they are in a very bad shape, in fact one of the sole came out but since that happened in the past just after few days of buying it, I haven't paid much attention(Is it just me or the Reebok soles do come off very early? I have seen 2-3 case just like mine) Anyway, I have no pictures of me wearing the shoes because I was engrossed in weighing the pros and cons of  Realflex, so I will just show you how it looks from the website.

Also, what is with people in Pune, I have been told thrice till now to try out the footwear for men.Seriously, dude! I am only a Rbk 7/Adidas 8 (fluctuate between 40-41 depending on the fit), it is not like I am a size 10..hmph!

What's the deal with Realflex?

Shoes of the Day: Black Satin Ballet Flats!

I haven't done any shoe post in quite some time because I wanted some suitable time gap to elapse between two posts (so, that I don't come across as a nut case who's shoe obsessed, which ahem! I am, but who said you have to say it out loud?!)
I have developed some kind of obsession with ballet flats! Never before did I feel so compelled towards flats; heels held all my attention but now that I have to walk a lot and my abused used nude ballerinas from Khadim had given up on me; I really needed a new pair.

Let me be honest, I fell in love with the red variation of these satin flats but they were not available in my size so, I ended up buying this and as they say, life goes on.....

Shoes of the Day: Black Denim Kitten Heels with Bows From Mochi

I recently saw Black Denim Kitten Heels From Mochi' s store (A Brand from Metro Shoes) and fell in love with it! I always wanted shoes in Denim but never quite got around to buying them because they were usually available in blue (Yes, I know the whole Denim and Blue story but a girl wants variety!). What's more? These were available in my size(btw, 40 i.e. my size is the last size in the brand! Thank god, they didn't stop at 39!)

Jute Slippers!

Yes.Well.Another Shoe post! Technically, these are slippers. I got these from an exhibition mainly for winter(This is my way of supporting arts & crafts!). Now,I won't call these cute but they're definitely *practical* and *warm*. In fact, I would place them only next to real fur slippers in terms of coziness( The thought of shaved off animal hair kind of freaks me out!).

Red Velvet Wedges-SOTD

The blog has been lying dormant for quite some time so I just had to had to do a post. Now, *please* ignore the picture quality because the images have been taken with a cell phone camera the pictures don't do justice to the absolute beauty of the red colour. I am not a big fan of red but with these shoes it was love at first site<3  because of the comfort of those wedges. These are my only *red* red shoes; rest are variations of red/maroon which don't quite make it to the top!

So, how do you like these??

SOTD: Purple Faux Suede Peep Toe Ballet Flats

If there can be an Outfit of The Day(OOTD) and other such variations; there can be SOTD as well! Says who?Well, I do. Today's 'Shoe of The Day' is a purple ballet flat with a bow. I don't fancy bows much but I do love purple. At one point, I had to tell my sister to not let me buy *anything purple* even if she had to snatch it from my hands(I am pretty sure she had fun doing it too!). Well, we were out shopping and it was one bright and extremely sunny morning and I was walking around in these. It was fine but narrow toes are *still* narrow and when I put my foot in these, it felt like heaven!
(Oh! If you've not heard me mention (more like scream) my shoe size, it is Europe 40/41, US 9.5/10, Indian/UK 7 but then it came with the height!)

Don't mind the sand, I 'd worn it outside and had not cleaned it afterward!!

Heel Condoms!!

Let me start by saying I love shoes but the name...ahh the name.Heel Condoms has been developed by Sandrysabel Ortiz, a 24year old entrepreneur. The concept was developed after she was struck by the thought," if we dress up, why not dress up our shoes?" A very noble thought indeed!  The name Heel Condoms  was picked very cleverly, the name just makes your mind bubble with curiosity.
You can read the full story here.

The condoms come in two variations:

  • Condom Style: This was the original design which would cover the heels( hence, the name) and protect it while making it look more interesting. For 2-5 inch heels.

  • Panty Style: This style has been developed to fit all heel types and sizes. You can use the same heel condom for your kitten heels, square ones or stilettos!

Panty Style

Why do you need them?
Because they make your heels go from pretty to gorgeous!!

My Black Square-Toed Heels From Khadim.

I wasn't planning on buying any more shoes because I ....errr... don't have any space for them but every time I find a shoe that fits my ( RBK- 7, Bata-7, UK- 40) feet, I start feeling like a thirsty person who found water in a desert. Khadim  is a very affordable brand which actually lasts a long time. I bought my first pair from them last year (Click here to see it) and I have been abusing them ever since! The only problem is that they have limited number of stores but they're opening new ones all over India. They offer last shoe size 8 for females which is *cough cough* my shoe size.

The heel is square, so it distributes the weight quite evenly so you can wear these shoes for a long comfortably and it is winter time so your feet will be cozy too!

Price: 329 INR ( So, now you know why I bought these:P)

Shoes That Make You Drool From the God Himself.

Everybody has a favourite designer and some lucky people can even afford them! I, regretfully don't belong to that category. According to me, Manolo Blahnik has no comparison when it comes to making shoes, his shoes are all  handcrafted and there is a long waiting list at the stores for popular products like the pumps made famous by Carrie Bradshaw in 'Sex And the City'.

These shoes were from what I remember $ 895. BG would like to sell them for $945 but they are currently out of stock!

Now, the shoes below have been chosen because it is winter and even if you cannot buy expensive shoes, you have to look at them and admire them and then frantically search for a look-alike (tell me if and where you find them)

These suede shoes are brown, they are also available in black and have 2.75 inch heel with shaft of 15".
Price:69,681 INR only

If you are done laughing at only, we move on to the next object of desire.
Again suede, it has a nice pink colour with kitten heels. I, personally, don't like snake, crocodile or skin of any other such animal. They freak me out!! I am kind of big on the leather alternative shoes and bags. They are, well, guiltless. But you can still admire the beauty and the craftsmanship of these shoes.

Price: INR 37396.28
They are cheap for a Blahnik!

These are again suede and I just love this colour. This will brighten up any cold and dull night or any plain and dull dress( if you can afford it, that is!)

Price:32015 INR (cheap again, right? :P)

Now, we move on to nude pump slingbacks. These are SAKS EXCLUSIVE! (For those of us who cannot buy, this doesn't really make a difference, I know.)

Price: 39010 INR

Btw, for a change, I do know where you can buy a similar looking pair of shoes! Carlton london has just the shoe for somewhere around 2000 INR.

A snakeskin metallic shoe, it cannot be shipped to India. Like I said, it creeps me out but just the same a great looking pair of flat.

Price: 41162 INR

The list cannot be complete without anything red, hence, the next pair.

I know I said the shoes are ones meant for winter but this red wedge is so cute and I love bows. I didn't like bows at all, some time ago but it is all changed now!
Price:32015.52 INR

 These are just so drool-worthy!!!!

Price: 40624 INR

Now, it's black's turn. I know it's suede but I can't help it.
A pair of black kitten heel, it looks comfortable.

Price:37396 INR

Now, we on to my love at first sight! Pink coloured pumps which are not out, yet but can be pre-ordered from Saks website.

Aren't they gorgeous?

Price: 32015 INR

The images have been taken from the Saks Fifth Avenue's Site and they ship internationally and to India as well!

Celebration Always From Bata

Living in India, it is a crime to not own a single Bata shoe. I won't say this about the bags but shoes you have to have. Since, this is festival and wedding season, you need a lot of party clothes and shoes. A lot of people don't bother about shoes, they'll just put on a black footwear thinking who'll look at them......well, I do and there are others like me out there too! What I like about Bata is that its great value for money and to this day at least *I* have not experienced any problem of shedding of the top layer, or the sole coming apart within two months of buying( This happened in case of Woodland but I won't get into that now)

So, here are some of the shoes from Celebration Always which looked good(to me I mean)

This is my favourite and you can see why. From Marie Claire.

Price: Rs 949 (after discount)

These are flats from Marie Claire. Why these? Because they'll go with everything!

Price: 1499 INR  After Discount:1049.30 INR

Finally, no festival, in India at least is complete without red, right? So here's the red:

Again from marie claire, this shoe has a name too, Emerson!

Price: Rs 1099 and no discount since it is a new arrival!

Since, they have outlets everywhere, you should have trouble finding these. Bata has an online store too!  Click Here to Shop!

Flats with Rounded Toes- Scandal

White flats, according to me are as essential as black shoes. The only problem with white shoes is maintaining them. It takes a lot of effort. These are flats which I purchased from Scandal The Shoe Shop. On a recent trip to Mumbai, I got these white ballet flats with rounded toes and a teardrop styled cut because I didn't have anything of that sort. I love shoes and no longer buy them out of necessity but because 'I don't have a particular variety'. Anyway, my feet are a Reebok 7, Bata 7 , UK size 40-41, you get the idea, right? It is hard to find shoes in my size but now, I know a few places which have shoes in my size and never forget to pay them a visit. I do feel sad when I can't buy the flea market stuff but life goes on....I say!

This is Scandal's shoe size 11. It has a silver coloured base and a black rubber sole. It looks like a variation of peep-toe to me.If you're going to Mumbai and have a shoe size problem or you just like buying shoes, you can check the store out.

These will keep your feet safe in winter.

Price: 899 INR
