Jergens Hand and Cuticle Cream Review

I was very happy with the effect Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer had on my hands so I decided to buy the Hand and Cuticle cream as well. It made more sense because even though I have oily skin, my hands can get itchy-dry in winters. In winters, the skin on my palms flakes; somebody should tell my skin that it is supposed to be oily(I've already tried!).

What it claims:

Jergens® fast-absorbing hand & cuticle cream helps provide immediate healing relief to dry, uncomfortable hands. The rich, creamy, non-greasy formula with soothing soy milk, softening monoï oil and naturally healing vitamin E, noticeably softens rough cuticles with just one use.

The Effect:
It worked well. It gets absorbed easily into the skin unlike Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer from Jergens which has to be worked into the skin. It doesn't have a very heady smell. I was using this and was very happy with the result but then winter came and my palms turned really dry. This cream even on applying it after every other hour is still ineffective in keeping the dryness at bay.In winters, it will work nicely for people who have normal skin or don't have extremely dry hands like me.

Pros:

Gets absorbed quickly.
Comes with a Flip cap.
Mild smell which doesn’t linger.
Easily available.

Cons:

Needs to be applied after washing hands.
Not for extremely dry hands.

My Rating: 6/10 (That means you can certainly live without it!)

Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer

All those doing the dishes and washing the clothes has made my hands really dry. If only I could shift into a hotel, I would never move out. Ever. My elbows are also rough from that habit of resting my elbows on the table. My face is very oily, there are days when I feel the oil will start dripping in sometime. Luckily, it has not happened, yet. I own non-oily stuff mostly so, have been looking for some lotion or crème which would solve my problem. I tried Nivea Soft Cream. It worked well but I was looking for something which would last me all day. Hence, I bought this lotion from Violetbag.com .

What it did:

It’s meant for dry skin so it is on the heavier side. I don’t have dry skin so I only used it on my hands. The claim of lasting 24 hour must be true because my hands were moisturized even after I washed my hands. Now, it is not fast-absorbing for me, I have to work it into the skin. My hands start looking like they belong to somebody civilized (Almost!) after using this.

To sum it up, I love the effect it has on my dry hands. I think you’ll love it if you have dry or very dry skin. This is one of the things that will see you though the winter without that itchy and dry skin. If you don’t need something heavy, you can also try the Jergens Original Scent Dry Skin moisturizer.
