Fabindia Lavender Relaxing Balm Review

I bought this out of curiosity  for my parents. Fabindia's Lavender Relaxing Balm is  a blend of many essential oils like Lavender(obviously!), Coconut,Black Pepper, Sunflower, Juniper to name a few. The very next day, I banged my head somewhere( not intentionally, though) and I turned out to be the Chosen One to try this balm.

Claim:
(Sorry for the fuzzy picture)

 Smells:
It has a dominant smell of camphor which is one of the ingredients but nothing heady or strong.I haven't been able to single out any other dominant smell except camphor.

Texture:
The consistency is of a thicker, opaque gel.

Ingredients:

My Experience:
If you expect it to take away your pain instantly; it won't. This balm is not a competitor of Diclofenac or any other such pain killer. It works but it takes time. However, it is indeed very relaxing. If you are stressed or  have problem in sleeping peacefully, this is definitely your product. It is not meant for people like me, who can sleep 24*7. With age, the sleep becomes lighter, I think this balm will be effective for such cases as well.

Pros:
  • If you don't like chemical-overload for muscular pains or stress, this will make you happy.
  • Consistency makes it easier to apply.
  • It doesn't make you smell like a walking medicine cabinet.(I love this!)
  • Not tested on animals.
  • No parabens on the ingredient list.
Cons:
  • Won't provide instant relief in case of pain.
Price: 150 INR for 50 ml

My Rating: 9/10 ( -1 for slow relief in case of pain)

Recommendation: This is something you can definitely gift  this winter!
