IntenseDebate Versus Disqus - Alternatives to the Default Comment System

I was supposed to write this post long longggggggg time back but  I kept delaying it( Hail procrastination!) Now, IntenseDebate  (ID) and Disqus are two services which you can use instead of the default comment system that blogger, Word Press or Tumblr have. Instead of going into details (which you anyway won't read, I know:P) I will just give you an overview so you can make your own choices.

As you can already see, I use ID but that doesn't mean you have to use the same thing.

Tech Tutorial : How to Add Pin It Button to Blogger?

I have realised that I just cannot do a tech tutorial post on tuesday, you see, I just don't realise when Sunday turns into Wednesday! Hence, another Techno thursday tutorial for you!

Please note: You don't need an account on Pinterest to add the pin button to your blog, but you will need an account on Pinterest if you want to Pin any content.Also, I am not sure if the code given below will work on WordPress platform since I have not tried but you are free to try it and do tell me the result.

 
Although, Pinterest has been in existence for quite some time,I recently got an invite to Pinterest thanks to my ahem!  very influential friend who blogs here. Pinterest is like facebook and twitter rolled into one in terms of usage, you get to create your own pin boards which have pictures and you can post something about the picture (Twitter-effect!) and you can like them or repin  them and the format is very similar to Facebook.

Please note that the code written below and the code mentioned on Pinterest's site are two different codes and the Pin It Button will pin the images if you use the code below. The code below works, I know because I use the same code and if you want to test, you can click on my Pin It button and test it!

Techno Thursday: How to Add " You Might Also Like" At The End of Your Post

You know, I wanted to do the technical tutorial post on Thursday or Tuesday just so I could rhyme it with techno! Since, being lame is not criminal yet, you can do nothing about this as well ;)
Btw, this post is dedicated to Kejal since I remember her asking for this tutorial specifically.

Now, coming back to the topic, you might have noticed a number of pictures/text links under the head "You May Also Like" or "Some Other Posts You May Like" or " You Might Also Like". The widget is called LinkWithin as many of you already know.

Tech Tutorials Anyone?

 
I have been thinking about doing bits of tutorials like how to add facebook like and send buttons, edit the template, add the feed burner counter and things like that...........anybody interested???? And if you're do tell me what kind of tutorials are you looking for??


PS- Don't worry, I do have a degree in this. And, yes, I did pass it on my own!!
